$16 million LGH heli pad construction completed

Pictured at the heli pad are LGH Switchboard Operator, June Cameron, and Receptionist, Kylie Barnett.

LGH team members were offered a tour of the newly launched heli pad last week.

Commentary from the tour included a briefing on the wind and fire safety features, lighting and even the bariatric lift capacity. This vital investment in hospital infrastructure is welcomed to improve access to the hospital in critical care situations.

As well as the tour of the new facility, Tasmanian Health Services staff were treated to a BBQ lunch to celebrate this milestone occasion.

The $16 million heli pad completion can now support our healthcare workforce to deliver safer and faster care for patients, ensuring critically ill patients can receive life-saving medical intervention and be transported safely and efficiently from the hospital.
