The Friends of Clifford Craig are a group of dedicated volunteers who work tirelessly to raise money for the Foundation’s medical research program here in Northern Tasmania.
They take great pride in their support for medical research and are very active through the year with a number of fundraising events including Melbourne Cup Luncheon, Spring Garden Fete, Winter Soup & Sandwich Luncheon, Bunnings Sausage Sizzle and Mother’s Day Luncheon.
The Friends have contributed enormously to the Foundation over the years, not only in their fundraising endeavours but also with their enthusiasm, commitment and thousands of hours spent volunteering.
The Friends group meets monthly to plan their activities, and are always keen to attract new members to their ranks.

Launceston Friends of Clifford Craig Melbourne Cup Luncheon
The Launceston Friends of Clifford Craig invite the community to celebrate the running of the Melbourne Cup. This vibrant and fun event will begin with a sparkling welcome drink before attendees indulge in a delicious three-course meal with coffee and tea.
Date: Tuesday 4th November 2025
Time: 11:45am for a 12:15pm sit down
Venue: TasTAFE – Launceston Drysdale Campus
Tickets: $85 per person
The day’s entertainment will include $2 and $5 sweeps, a lively horse auction, lucky door prizes, fashions on the field and big-screen coverage of the race that stops the nation.
