Successful 2025 Foundation Grant Applicants
Congratulations to the successful 2025 Foundation Grant applicants who were announced at the launch of the Clifford Craig Research and Innovation Centre. Thanks to the generous philanthropic support of our community, these grants enable clinicians, nurses and researchers to drive vital improvements to patient care across North and North West Tasmania.
2025 Research Showcase
On 6 February we officially launched our seven funded medical research projects for 2025. Research teams, loyal donors and community leaders connected to learn more about each project and understand the regional health impact goals of the research program this year. We thank the community for ongoing donations in support of our medical research program at Clifford Craig Foundation: www.donate.cliffordcraig.org.au

Our network of local researchers
Medical research can be likened to a giant jigsaw puzzle. Each area of research represents a piece that, when combined, creates greater knowledge and the potential for future cure or prevention. It is an intricate process that sometimes delivers exciting outcomes or, at the very least, provides valuable insight.
As each researcher builds upon the work of others, the “full picture” becomes clearer and another piece of the puzzle falls into place. In today’s world of instantaneous knowledge exchange, researchers can readily share their findings, successes and failures to enable outcomes that ultimately improve or save the lives of thousands.
The Clifford Craig Foundation’s annual medical research grants enable projects across a broad range of health areas including motor neurone disease, prostate cancer, multiple sclerosis, cardiology, vaccines, orthopaedic surgery, gastrointestinal disease, paediatrics, fall prevention and more. Since 1992, the Foundation has funded over 200 individual research projects.
