The Kaleidoscope of Launceston: Shedding More Light On The Fabric

$40.00

edited by Tom Dunning, Barbara Valentine and Paul A.C Richards

This book builds on a prior book The Fabric of Launceston (published in 2016), which explain the interesting nature of this city - the disproportionately large amount of cultural diversity packed into a small city as a result of fortunate geographical and historical influences. Launceston people have from early times been industrious and created much of their own activities and entertainment, and these traits are still apparent.

Andrew Alexander

This book builds on John Reynolds' single authored Launceston History of an Australian City,1969 and The Fabric of Launceston: A Collaborative Community History, 2016. We appreciate what an excellent urban history is and what gifted historians we have who have expressed that history in The Kaleidoscope of Launceston, 2018.
