Andrew Williams
An Associate Professor of exercise sports science at the University of Tasmania, Andrew Williams is a senior lecturer, accredited exercise physiologist and coordinator of the Bachelor of Exercise Physiology (professional honours) in the School of Health Sciences.
Associate Professor Williams graduated with a Bachelor Applied Science degree from the University of South Australia in 1996, and a BSc Honours degree from Flinders University in 1998 before moving to Melbourne to complete a PhD at Victoria University.
He moved to Tasmania in 2003, joining the team at UTAS and establishing himself as an accomplished academic with a passion for teaching and research.
In 2021 Associate Professor Williams obtained a medical research grant from the Clifford Craig Foundation for a project examining the early detection of airway abnormalities in smokers.
