LGH 'Madwives' return with new calendar

October, 2023

The ‘Madwives’ of Launceston General Hospital have done it again, with a new ‘nude’ calendar hitting the shelves for a good cause.

In the past Women's and Children's LGH staff have "dared to bare" in support of their Relay for Life fundraising efforts.

And now the gang are back, with a new calendar ready for 2024 and aptly named - A Labour of Love.

Midwives Penni Ives and Kylie Burns have been behind the calendars for several years, with the inaugural edition launched in 2020.

With 2024 to be their last edition, they are passing the baton to midwives Taylor Warde and Clair Dunham who continue the challenge for 2025.

The Labour of Love calendar was launched in Launceston last month and can now be purchased from Rhubarb for Gifts and Warp in Margaret Street, Launceston for $20.00.

The organisers extend their thanks to photographer Paul Scambler for his hard work and creativity with the calendar.
