Celebrating Peta Antypas: Advancing Stroke Research
Clifford Craig Foundation is thrilled to announce that Fifth Year medical student, Peta Antypas, has been awarded a prestigious scholarship by Clifford Craig Foundation to join the Neurology team at the Launceston General Hospital in 2026. This scholarship recognises Peta’s dedication to improving patient care and her passion for advancing neurological research in Tasmania.
Peta’s research project will focus on stroke, one of the leading causes of disability and death in our community. Specifically, she will be reviewing recent presentations to the Launceston General Hospital to assess delays in patients presenting to hospital after a stroke. Understanding these delays is critical to improving treatment times and outcomes, as every minute counts when managing stroke.
Through this scholarship, Peta will work alongside leading specialists, contribute to innovative research, and help shape strategies that reduce barriers to timely care. Her efforts will strengthen regional health services and foster collaboration between clinicians and researchers.
This achievement is made possible thanks to the generosity of our donors, whose support enables us to fund scholarships that keep talent in Tasmania and drive progress in critical areas of health.
Congratulations, Peta we look forward to seeing the incredible contribution and energy you bring to your work.
