2024 Christmas Appeal

This festive season, the Clifford Craig Foundation is raising funds to help purchase seven ultrasound machines for the Launceston General Hospital.

Six ultrasound machines will assist elderly patients needing additional assistance with IV treatments. Sometimes older people’s veins become a little difficult to access for medical procedures, and making this ultrasound machine available across the wards at the LGH will improve patient wellbeing.

One diagnostic lung ultrasound machine is required to assist our dedicated Allied Health team to assess and treat patients with acute lung conditions, enabling timely access to accurate care.

We have set a fundraising target of $110,000 to secure these much-needed pieces of equipment for our local hospital.

Your donation will make a direct difference to patient wellbeing at the LGH.

The LGH employs 4 of the 10 trained Physiotherapists in Australia accredited to use diagnostic lung ultrasound. We are very excited by the prospect of having this in our toolkit to enhance patient care.
