The Clifford Craig Foundation is always inspired by the efforts of community members to fundraise for a good cause.

Recently, our CEO Peter Milne accepted a cheque for $11,000 from the Youngtown Rotary Club, in support of prostate cancer research in Launceston.

A cause that’s close to the club’s heart, prostate cancer is the most commonly diagnosed cancer in Australian men after non-melanoma skin cancers and will affect one in eight Tasmanian men.

With this in mind, the club decided they wanted to raise funds to support future medical research into prostate cancer in Northern Tasmania, through the Clifford Craig Foundation.

Remarkably, they were able to raise $11,000 through a monster raffle, thanks to generous support from Bunnings Kings Meadows and the Kings Meadows Community Men’s Shed who donated a cubby house and several other prizes.

The Club also acknowledged the support of local businesses including Meadow Mews, the Olde Tudor Shopping Complex and Evandale Market for assisting with raffle ticket sales.

The Clifford Craig Foundation extends its sincere thanks to the Youngtown Rotary Club for their fundraising efforts, and everyone who supported this cause.
