FibroScan Update

Last year, we asked for your support in funding a FibroScan for the LGH. On Friday 11th of December 2020, we were delighted to have the machine arrive in Tasmania and to present it to the liver specialist team.

The FibroScan is going to be a major help for the hospital, who previously were borrowing one from the Mersey once a fortnight. The FibroScan identifies patients who have a stiff liver and are exposed to higher risks and complications of liver disease.
