Gerontology
The Trust received a very generous bequest in support of Gerontology research and in consequence made a commitment to provide up to $250,000 over five years towards this significant health issue. The study of diseases in the elderly is an important initiative given that the prevalence rate of dementia in Tasmania is set to rise dramatically by 37% over the next twenty years.

Tasmania's Clifford Craig Medical Research Trust was established in 1991.
It is dedicated to curing disease and improving the quality of life for northern Tasmanians. It locally based; locally focussed and locally administered.
