Tasmanian suicide patterns – prevention and interventation ($2,500)
The Trust has in its charter a commitment to medical research education through its links with the University of Tasmania. To encourage medical students to consider research as a career option the Trust offered Grants to promising young students. Matthew Poxon, aged 23, was awarded a grant to assist his study into suicide in young people in Tasmania. The rate of suicide in Tasmania is among the highest in the country and Matthew’s study considered aspects of intervention and prevention.

Tasmania's Clifford Craig Medical Research Trust was established in 1991.
